The webinar on trading with Northern Ireland and the operation of UKIMS (the new UK Internal Market Scheme) will be led by highly experienced trainers – members of the Customs Knowledge Community. It will be free for CKC members.

REACH (chemicals) and foodstuff exceptions
Movement of goods to GB from ROI via NI
An overview of the practicalities of the WF including VA

Speakers

Anthony Buckley

Chair of the Customs Knowledge Institute, Ireland. Now operating his own consultancy company, Anthony provides advice to a number of accountancy and other firms, and has experience of training in customs for the University of Limerick, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Irish Exporters Association, and CILT Skillnet. Formerly Head of Revenue’s Customs Service, he led Brexit planning for Irish Customs up to mid-2018. In his Customs role, he represented Ireland at EU discussions, and in the World Customs Organisation.

Zandra Horgan

Zandra is Chartered Certified Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, Customs Agent & Adviser, based in Ireland. She is co-founder of HFS which offer Customs, Accounting & Tax services to a varied client base of multinationals to the SME sector. For many businesses, trading through a customs border for the first time is a challenge and Zandra has helped many upskill and thrive to regain their market share. Specialising in SPS clearances she works closely with clients and all government agencies involved.

Mark Rowbotham

Mark is an International Consultant, Trainer and Writer in Customs and Excise Compliance and Risk issues. He has spent a considerable length of time working in both the Government, Commercial and Academic sectors. He is also a specialist in Freeports and Free Zones, both in the UK and overseas, and has written papers on the subject for various conferences. His book on Freeports and Free Zones was published in 2022. He resides in the UK.
