Topic:“Customs in an Economic Downturn”

Date: 17th October 2022

Time:  15:00-16:00 CEST (Brussels time)

Where: Online

Moderator/Speaker: Anthony Buckley, Chair of Customs Knowledge Institute.

There is no longer any doubt that we are experiencing the beginning of a general economic slowdown, with likely recession in many economies.  This will impact trade, with greater sensitivity to costs, the possibility of falling trade volumes, and possible acceleration of “deglobalisation” protectionist measures.  Are there steps that customs professionals should take (and advise to their clients) to ensure survival in these changing times?  We will discuss the issues following a short (30 minute) presentation.
