I’ve attended Confiad http://www.confiad.org meeting on Friday, where the future role (considering the Reform) of customs brokers has been discussed – the current draft Code doesn’t provide much optimism for the profession. Also on Friday the US published the continuous professional development requirements for customs brokers, this way strengthening their role. Maybe this could be a good way for the EU to proceed? Please see an overview and some thoughts for a discussion attached.
